A maior premiação da televisão acaba de apresentar os grandes nomeados para a premiação da Academia de Artes e Ciências Televisivas dos EUA, o Emmy 2018. Com grandes nomes da dramaturgia e séries extremamente bem avaliadas pelo público e crítica como Game of Thrones (HBO), Westworld (HBO), The Handmaids Tale (Hulu), Stranger Things (Netflix) e The Crown (Netflix).

Este ano a Netflix conseguiu superar o número total de nomeações da HBO depois de 17 anos consecutivos e é recordista com um total 112 indicações em todas as categorias que está presente, contra 108 do canal televisivo. O serviço de streaming conquistou tal feito com séries como The Crown, Stranger Things, GLOW, Godless e Ozark.

Entretanto, a HBO possui o maior número de indicações em uma série: com Game of Thrones conquistando o recorde de 22 nomeações aos Emmys, seguido de Westworld com 21 nomeações. A NBC também conquista 21 indicações com Saturday Night Live.

Mais um destaque merecido fica para a segunda temporada de The Handmaid's Tale, um dos maiores destaques de 2017 e que em 2018 conquistou um total de 20 indicações. The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, do canal FX conquista 18 indicações ao prêmio.
