A noite de ontem foi marcada pelo Emmy 2020, que foi apresentado por Jimmy Kimmel em um evento digital direto do Staples Center, em Los Angeles. Como já sabemos, a série The Mandalorian conquistou cinco estatuetas do Creative Emmy Awards 2020, que premia a parte técnica de cada produção às vésperas do evento principal.

Já na cerimônia principal, os destaques foram outros. Enquanto o ator Mark Ruffalo – conhecido, também, por seu papel como o Hulk – venceu o prêmio de Melhor Ator em uma Minissérie ou Filme, por sua atuação em I Know This Much Is True, a atriz Regina King foi premiada com o título de Melhor Atriz em uma Minissérie ou Filme graças a sua performance em Watchmen.

É importante destacar que Watchmen foi a série mais indicada para o Emmy 2020, com 26 nomeações, e ganhou em quatro categorias. No entanto, a série mais premiada foi Schitt's Creek, com sete estatuetas. Succession também figurou entre as mais vencedoras, com quatro prêmios, ao lado de Watchmen.
